  1. Excellent interview, Ken! If I'd had Peter Mills as a teacher when I was in college, I might not have dropped out in the late '70's!

Just bought the book today and I'm only into the second chapter, but it's fantastic. Written in a way that lets you know you're not only getting information from a scholar, but that the scholar is also a fan.

Interesting that "A Hard Days Night" was discussed. I just responded to an Amazon comment on a review of the book by a Beatles fan who said that "Head" wasn't anywhere near as entertaining as "A Hard Days Night." I politely expressed my differing opinion. The two films are such polar opposites that I don't see any point in comparing them.

I liked your discussion of "Head" foreshadowing the darker side of popular culture. Very thought provoking stuff.

Thoroughly enjoy your podcast and this entire site. As a kid watching the show in 1966, I never could have dreamed that 50 years later, all this great stuff about my favorite band would be right here at my fingertips. Many thanks and continued success to you and your colleagues.

    Peace,
    Harris Goodman
